Individual Musicianship

Individual musical development is an essential part of the St. Petersburg High School Band program. In addition to SPHS group performances, Many students participate in extracurricular Solo and Ensemble Assessments, perform in local recitals and the Pinellas Youth Symphony, and study privately.

Students also audition and are selected for the annual Pinellas County All County High School Bands and Orchestras, and the Florida All State Bands.

Information about the Florida All State audition process and requirements can be found on the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) website.  The FBA also organizes Solo and Ensemble auditions.

The 2015-2016 Pinellas All County High School Bands included several students from the SPHS band program.
